APRA tests each MySuper and trustee-directed option's eight-year return against a benchmark built from its own mix. A fund that fails must write to its members; fail twice and the option closes to new members.

First edition recorded

FY 2026 is the first edition BankMate has recorded. From the next, this lists every option that flipped between passing and failing APRA's test and every fee on $50,000 that moved by $25 or more.

Data
APRA's Comprehensive Product Performance Package for MySuper and Choice products, published each year after 30 June and re-read weekly for corrections. Every option is snapshotted when the file changes, so an edition can be reproduced later.

Rankings are MySuper only: Choice returns are before admin fees, so the two never share a list. Fees are total fees and costs at a $50,000 balance, insurance not included. Changes compare options present in both editions.

As at 30 June 2026, the highest ten-year net return among the 36 MySuper options that passed APRA's performance test was 9.27% p.a. from TEAM Super (MySuper Lifecycle), against a median of 7.98%. The lowest total fee on a $50,000 balance was $245 a year (Vanguard Super); the median was $410. APRA tested 1271 options against its benchmark: 1237 passed and 34 failed. The largest fund by assets in the edition was AustralianSuper at $314bn. This is the first edition BankMate has recorded; changes appear from the next.
